The Big Day
The day of the display
All the preperation work has been done, the site has been inspected and arrangements have been made with the venue.
As the majority of our displays are electronically fired, we need a bit more time setting everything up, so we normally arrive about three hours before the time set. This ensures that we've enough time to rig the display and snag anything that may arise.
Once we've unloaded all the fireworks, racking and other equipment, we corden off the site as safety is paramount. We then proceed to arrange all the firework and racks to their relevant firing positions. We'll insert the electronic detonators, if we're firing electronically and ready all equipment.
Once the display has been set out, we'll utilise the remaining time to run all our system checks on the firing system, test the integrity of all outputs and walk through the display ensuring all fireworks are safe and secure, no fuses or detonators have been dislodged and ensure that all safety systems and precautions are in place.
Prior to the actual firing, we will have agreed a signal to fire, this is imperative as no matter how organised things are, there are delays, so we wait for that signal to fire......
The applause dies down, the crowd dissipates but our work is not yet over. We now clear away hte site as best as we can. We'll remove all our equipment, and where there's no means of disposal, we'll also take away all dead fireworks. We'll then do our best to clear the site of all the debris from the site.
